UIU Library

The United International University Library’s primary mission is to support and enhance the university’s education, research, and public service activities. It offers a broad range of services, including book circulation, reference assistance, research counseling, bibliographic documentation, and retrospective searches.

The library’s collection includes a balanced mix of books, journals, and various media formats, reflecting a wide range of subjects such as arts, business, engineering, sciences, and professional programs. With a vast collection exceeding 25,000 items, the library houses books, CDs/DVDs, journals, magazines, and newspapers. UIU library subscribe e-journal from JSTOR, with comprising 2,895 journal titles. And a single e-book database, Wiley, with includes 3,500 titles.  Additionally, the library provides three dedicated study rooms, ideal for exam preparation and group projects.

Browsing facilities

The library is equipped with 41 browsing computers, all offering high-speed internet access. Users can browse and download materials from these computers or use their own laptops within the library.

Koha Intergraded Library software

The UIU Library uses KOHA, a comprehensive library management system. KOHA automates key functions such as book check-ins and check-outs, allowing users to search for books and monitor their borrowing history and status.

Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC)

Through the OPAC system, users can browse the library’s catalog and access resources online with ease.
