Notice Regarding Implementation Of Automated Classroom Attendance System

ATTENTION
All students of UIU

This is for information of all UIU students that UIU is set to implement the much-awaited automated attendance system in all its classrooms from Spring 2024 Trimester/Semester. The attendance of students for all classes will be systematically recorded and updated on UCAM through the attendance devices installed in each classroom.

Guidelines for using the automated student-attendance system:

  1. At the beginning of each class, the teacher will punch in the attendance device by his/her UIU Employee ID Card and, thereby, activate the attendance system.
  2. Students will then record their attendance at the attendance device by punching in their UIU Student ID Cards.
  3. Card punches will be valid if they are recorded only during the class timeline (Beginning and Ending of class period).
  4. For Lab classes, however, teachers will continue to record student-attendance through the existing system (via UCAM) until the automated attendance system is installed at the Labs.

All students are, therefore, advised to carry their UIU Student ID card at all times at the UIU campus.
