SmartAMR: Advancing Digital Healthcare with AI-driven Intelligence to Strengthen Medical Adherence, Minimize Prescription Errors, and Reduce Antimicrobial Resistance in Bangladesh.

Position Summary:
We are looking for a Research Physician with an MBBS and MPH degree, and experience in public health research to contribute to the clinical and health outcomes evaluation for the AIMScribe project. This role involves analyzing patient data, guiding AI model development based on clinical protocol, national guidelines, and WHO guidelines for continuous improvement of the project. The Research Physician will also engage in patient education, data collection, data validation, and feedback integration to refine healthcare tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement research protocols, ensuring strict compliance with ethical standards for both clinical primary and secondary data collection.
• Lead and contribute to high-impact research projects addressing critical clinical challenges in Bangladesh.
• Coordinate, supervise, and mentor junior physicians and AI team members in line with approved research protocols.
• Collaborate with AI researchers and data scientists to integrate clinical insights into the development and validation of data-driven tools.
• Analyze and interpret clinical data to assess the effectiveness, safety, and applicability of digital health solutions.
• Prepare and deliver research outputs through publications and presentations at national, regional, and international scientific conferences.
• Organize and facilitate seminars, consultative workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions with scientists, healthcare professionals, researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to the promotion and implementation of digital health solutions within communities and partner organizations.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of the project, including records of concomitant activities such as medications, adverse events, and medically attended adverse events (MAEs).
• Engage in continuous professional development through specialized research training programs offered locally and internationally.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team that includes members from globally recognized organizations and academic institutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• MBBS degree with MPH.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in public health research, particularly in clinical trials, health systems research, or patient data analysis.
• Familiarity with digital health platforms, AI applications in healthcare, and patient-centered care models.
• Experience in clinical data collection, patient engagement, public health program evaluation, and field work.
• Basic proficiency in Python/SPSS for data analysis.
• Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams and communicate with healthcare professionals, researchers, and policymakers.

Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both Bangla and English.
