About the Role: We are seeking a self-motivated team member to support the research on the innovative design of flood-resistant housing. The team member will support the research team in the execution of the project efficiently. The responsibilities are outlined below.

Qualification:

1. B.Sc. in Civil Engineering /BSc in Civil and Environmental Engineering/ BSc in Civil and Water Resources Engineering. MSc in Civil/ Environmental/ Water Resources Engineering is preferred. Those who have completed coursework are encouraged to apply. 
2. B.Sc. GPA 3.3 or above
3. Excellent communication skills in English.
4. Proficient in report writing in English.
5. Understanding of SDG Goals, Disasters such as urban flooding, Climate Change Effects in extreme rainfall, urban flood modelling
6. Software Skills: ETABS, Python, MATLAB, EPA SWMM, GeoSWMM, ArcGIS, QGIS
7. Applicant with any related publications will be given preference

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a literature review in the relevant field and prepare reports.
• Gather, clean, and process data, and prepare the database, where necessary.
• Perform modelling of future urban flooding
• Design test specimen
• Support in fabricating test specimens
• Perform laboratory experiments
• Assist SPM with administrative operations
• Any other duties assigned by SPM and ASPM
