The Make-up Examination (Free of Charge) Policy for all the students of UIU (effective from Spring 2025 trimester/semester) is placed below:  

Make-up Examination (Free of Charge) Policy

i. A student, who has missed/was absent in the mid-term/final examination(s) for reason(s) beyond his/her control (medical, family, personal emergency, etc.), will be allowed to take make-up examinations, without any fees, only upon prior approval by the competent authorities of UIU.

ii. The student must submit the application for make-up examination (in the prescribed application form attached herewith) to the relevant program office within three (03) working days from the date of last examination as per academic calendar.

iii. The application must be accompanied by the relevant supporting documents in support of missing the exam(s) on the scheduled date(s).

iv. Students taking part in make-up examinations will not be eligible for a gold medal award. They will also not be eligible for scholarships in the following trimester/semester, but will be entitled to applicable waiver.

v. Students, whose applications for make-up examinations will not be approved by UIU, may avail the opportunity of ‘Improvement Examination’ by registering through the improvement examination portal.
