A committee has been formed, with the following composition, to investigate into the unfortunate incidents that took place at the UIU campus on September 04, 2024:

1. Prof. Dr. Mohammad Omar Farooq, Head, Department of Economics: Convenor;
2. Prof. Dr. Kaled Masukur Rahman, Professor – EEE, Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering: Member;
3. Dr. Suman Ahmmed, Associate Professor – CSE and Director – CDIP: Member;
4. Ms. Nasrin Akter, Assistant Professor, School of Business and Economics; Member; and
5. Mr. Muhammad Rehan Masoom, Assistant Professor, School of Business and Economics: Member-Secretary.

Terms of Reference of the Committee:

1. The Committee will thoroughly investigate the incidents of September 04, 2024 that took place on the UIU campus, including vandalism, violence, harassment, indecent behaviour, aggression, damage to the university properties, etc.;
2. The Committee will identify the individuals involved in the above-mentioned incidents, which are violation of the disciplinary rules of UIU;
3. The Committee will cross-examine the allegations of violation of the UIU disciplinary rules and establish the cases beyond doubt;
4. The Committee will recommend necessary punitive measures to be taken against the individuals, who will be proven to be involved in the incidents; and
5. The Committee may recommend any other measures that the university should adopt to prevent such untoward and unfortunate incidents in the future.

The Committee is requested to submit its report by September 11, 2024.
