United International University (UIU) commemorated National Library Day 2025 on Wednesday, February 5, under the theme ‘সমৃদ্ধ হোক গ্রন্থাগার, এই আমাদের অঙ্গীকার’ (Let the Library be Enriched—This is Our Commitment), pledging to establish an advanced library.

As part of the celebration, a book reading competition was held, and prizes were awarded to the winners. The 1st prize was awarded to Mr. Mushfiq Shahriar Chowdhury from the Department of CSE, the 2nd prize to Ms. Maisha Jannat Rima from the Department of BBA, and the 3rd prize was jointly awarded to Ms. Mehenaz Akter Mim from the Department of EEE and Mr. Samiul Haque Siam from the Department of BBA in AIS.

Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Mia, graced the occasion. In his address, he reaffirmed his commitment to developing a well-equipped library. Additionally, he shared his satisfaction with the existing resources and services while expressing his expectations for further enhancements.

Professor Dr. Hasan Sarwar, Convener of the Library Management Committee, emphasized the committee’s dedication to supporting the UIU Library in upholding its mission and values.

The presence of students, faculty members, library professionals, and university officials contributed to a vibrant and inclusive event.
