United International University (UIU) will organize day long programs to observe the 47th Martyrdom Anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangamata Sheikh Fojilatunnesa, all other Martyrs of 15th August and National Mourning Day on its campus on 17th August 2022 (Wednesday).
In the morning at 10:30 AM, a ‘Tree Plantation Program’ will be held at UIU campus. Professor Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Mia, Vice Chancellor (In-Charge) of UIU along with faculty members and high officials will plant some trees at UIU campus to show deep homage to the martyrs.
After the ‘Tree Plantation Program’ a ‘Discussion Meeting’ followed by a ‘Du’a Mahfil’ will be held at 3:30 PM at UIU Multipurpose Hall. Professor Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Mia, Vice Chancellor (In-Charge) of UIU will preside over the Discussion Meeting while Prof. Dr. Mohammad Musa, Professor – School of Business and Economics, Prof. Dr. Hamidul Huq, Dean – School of Humanities and Social Sciences and Director – Bangabandhu Study Centre, Prof. Dr. Hasan Sarwar, Dept. of CSE, and Prof. Dr. Md. Abu Saklayen – Proctor and Professor, Institute of Natural Sciences will participate in the discussion session. Dr. Md. Zulfiqur Rahman, Registrar will play the role of anchor and convener of the session.
At the end of the discussion, Mr. Abu Sadat Md. Mostansirbilla, Director, Public Relations Office (PRO) will conduct the ‘Du’a Mahfil’.
