UIU is Observing National Mourning Day with Deep Homage
United International University (UIU) is observing the 48th Martyrdom Anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Bangamata Sheikh Fojilatunnesa, all other Martyrs of 15th August and National Mourning Day by holding Essay Competition, Discussion Meeting and Du’a Mahfil on August 14, 2023 (Monday) at 2:30 PM in UIU Multipurpose Hall.
To mark the August memorable, UIU Library organized an Essay Writing Competition for the UIU students. The topic of the essay was “Bangabandhu, Independence, and Smart Bangladesh”. Participants with the best essays will get prizes with a certificate.
Professor Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Mia, Vice Chancellor (In-Charge) of UIU will preside over the Discussion Meeting while Prof. Dr. Md. Abu Saklayen, Director, Institute of Natural Sciences (INS) and Proctor, UIU; Prof. Dr. Hamidul Huq, Dean, School of Humanities & Social Sciences and Director – Bangabandhu Study Centre; Prof. Dr. Hasan Sarwar, Dean, School of Science and Engineering; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Musa, Dean, School of Business and Economics will participate in the discussion session. Dr. Md. Zulfiqur Rahman, Registrar will play the role of convener of the session. At the end of the discussion, Mr. Abu Sadat Md. Mostansirbilla, Director, Public Relations Office (PRO) will conduct Dua and Monazat.
All faculty, staff members and UIU students are cordially invited to join Prize giving Session of Essay Competition and Discussion Meeting followed by ‘Du’a Mahfil’ on the above-mentioned date and time.
