The main goal of the establishment of the Directorate of International Affairs (DIA) is to enhance international collaboration of UIU. Currently it has concentrated its attention to support and integrate two projects (known as c-link and Strong Ties) run by the European Union. Before that, another project known as e-link was successfully accomplished. Under the projects, many Bangladeshi students have got a chance to acquire cross cultural experience in foreign higher educational institutions. All our efforts are directed to the benefits of the students of UIU. Exposure in a different language, a different culture, and a different environment builds confidence as well as matured understanding of life that eventually makes our students more employable. More than one hundred students, academic and administrative staffs of UIU have already visited different European Universities under these projects. Supporting International Conference in UIU is also another goal of DIA. In 2007, UIU successfully hosted International Conference on Computer and Information Technology (ICCIT). UIU, moreover, arranges International Conference on the Developments in Renewable Energy Technology (ICDRET) biennially. We cordially welcome and support the guests who come from home and abroad in order to participate in these conferences.
UIU operates a strong Career Counseling Center (CCC) for the Career Development of its students.
