A notice is hereby provided to draw your attention to the matter that all newly admitted undergraduate students of Fall 2019 trimester, who are proficient in English language skills might sit for the exemption test of Intensive English II course. The details of the test of Intensive English II course are given in the following.
The test of Intensive English II course will be held on November 25, 2019.

Students who will score minimum 66% marks in the test will be exempted from the respective course. On passing the test, students will get waiver on course fee for Intensive English II and save time while completing their graduation.

Question Content of the Exemption Test for Intensive English II
Duration: Two hours
Full marks: 100
1. Reading: 20 Marks
There will be one reading comprehension.
The comprehensions will contain:
- Multiple choice questions
- Fill in the blanks
- Capitalization and punctuation
- Matching
- True/false
- Close and open ended questions
- Summary/paraphrase
2. Writing: 50 Marks
- Writing Application (10)
- Editing Paragraph (16)
- Essay Writing (24)
3. Listening: 15 Marks
A Listening track will be played twice and the candidates will listen the track carefully. Then, they will have to answer the following questions based on the provided listening text:
- Choose the correct answer
- Guess the meaning
- Fill in the blanks
- Matching
- Write true/false
- Short answer questions
4. Speaking: 15 Marks
5. Interview: 05 marks + Impromptu Speech: 10 marks
(Impromptu Speech: The candidate will be provided with a pool of topics. He/she will randomly pick one of the topics and will prepare for two minutes for the impromptu speech. Then, he/she will deliver the speech and will be evaluated based on the following rubric. )
