UIU recognizes Dr. Daniel D. Truong as Honorary Professor
United International University recognized Dr. Daniel D. Truong, Professor of University of California Riverside, USA and Founder of the Parkinson’s and Movement Disorder Institute, USA as an Honorary Professor on April 03, 2019. The Vice-Chancellor of UIU Prof. Dr. Chowdhury Mofizur Rahaman handed over the Honorary Professorship to Dr. Daniel D Truong at its campus.
On this occasion, a discussion was held where Dr. Khondaker Abdullah Al Mamun, Professor of CSE, Founder and Director, AIMS Lab and Founder of CMED health presented the research commercialization of AIMS lab, UIU and the ongoing research projects of medical engineering, healthcare and disabilities. Prof. Dr. Truong will guide in the field of Biomedical Science and collaborate in research expansion.
Dr. Daniel Truong is one of the few neurologists with formal training in Parkinson’s disease and Movement Disorder. As one of the pioneers in the development of botulinum toxin treatment of movement disorders, he has published many articles in its use. Dr. Truong is well known internationally for his work in development the animal model of myoclonus. The model has become the mainstay for research in this field.
