Financial
statements are the primary sources of corporate information. Through the
analysis of financial statements one is expected to learn how well the
corporation was managed and how well the corporation is expected to be run in
the future under the current management. The tools and techniques widely used
in the analysis include ratio analysis, Du Pont analysis, cross-sectional and
time series analysis of financial statements, projection of financial
requirement, financial planning & forecasting, etc. Therefore, this course
is intended not only to cover the topics mentioned above but also to cover
topics such as, disclosure requirement of, and generation of, financial
information.
